Ranger
From GuildWiki
The Ranger class is a powerful, versatile ranged attacker. A good ranger can fight from close up, or from a long distance. However, as they can only attack one enemy at a time, large crowds normally spell doom. With a good set of skills, and good use of combos, this profession can be very effective. The patron goddess of rangers is Melandru.
The Primary Ranger's base armor provides moderate protection, +30 Armor versus Elemental attacks, +5 Energy and +1 Energy Recovery. A starting Primary Ranger can expect to have 25 Maximum Energy and 3 Energy Recovery. The Druid's armor also provides an extra 8 Energy, for a total of 33 Energy.
The Ranger's primary attribute (meaning that it can only be raised by a primary Ranger) is Expertise.
[edit] Attributes
- Expertise (Primary): For each rank of Expertise, the Energy cost of all of your attacks, Rituals, touch skills, and Rangers skills are decreased by 4%. Several skills, especially those related to Energy costs and skill recharge times, become more effective with higher Expertise.
- Marksmanship: Increases the damage and chance to inflict a critical hit with bows.
- Beast Mastery: Increases the damage and chance to inflict a critical hit by an animal companion.
- Wilderness Survival: No inherent effect. Many Ranger skills, especially Rituals, Preparations and Traps, become more effective with higher Wilderness Survival.
