GuildWiki will make every effort to protect the privacy of it's membership and readers, but GuildWiki, as any Wiki, is a publicly available resource that requires some personally identifiable information to perform it's basic functions. However, as a publicly-edited site, GuildWiki does not have direct control over the content posted, and cannot be held liable.

[edit] Definition of terms

• Removal refers to the elimination of any information from the default view of an article. Unless explicitly stated, removal does not refer to the edit history of an article.
• Personally identifiable information shall refer to any information that can be used to link an editor's account to a real person. Unless explicitly stated, this term always excludes IP addresses.

[edit] Expectation of Privacy

Any information posted on GuildWiki is treated as publicly available, and posters should entertain no expectation of privacy for any comments or statements posted in any name space. For technical and accountability reasons, GuildWiki retains all posts, and shall not inhibit the viewing of these posts except in cases of technical need.

Information of a sensitive nature should never be posted in any name space, and my be removed at the discretion of any editor.

[edit] Personally Identifiable Information

GuildWiki retains personally identifiable information only for technical reasons, and shall not sell this information. GuildWiki may only redistribute personally identifiable information in the explicit context of a technical need, and consent to redistribute this information shall never be given to a third party.

IP addresses from unregistered users are always treated as publicly available information, not personally identifiable information, and unregistered users should entertain no expectation of privacy regarding IP addresses. Registered users' IP addresses shall not be disclosed, except in cases of technical need.

GuildWiki will make every effort to protect the privacy of all editors and readers, but cannot be held liable for the actions of any editor that violates this policy or the aforementioned privacy. Gravewit, and any system operators or administrators appointed by him, shall not be held responsible for breaches of this policy or the privacy of any contributor or reader. As a community-edited site, the owner and system operators do not have direct control over the content hosted here, and cannot be held responsible for it's accuracy or security.

GuildWiki will make every effort to ensure advertisers adhere to this policy, but accepts no responsibility for the actions of those advertisers. If an advertiser is found to have violated this policy, they will be removed from the advertisement cycle at the system operator's discretion.

This policy may be changed at any time through the normal policy change procedures. No notice shall be given when This policy is changed, except through normal policy change procedures.
