This general PvE oriented build utilizes a Ritualist's protective and healing abilities from the Restoration Magic line's Weapon Spells coupled with Spawning Power enchantments for energy management and added benefit to Weapon Spells.

[edit] Equipment

  • Restorer's Headwrap
  • Halcyon's (Radiant) Armor for added energy. The Arms and Legs pieces, however, should have Mystic's Armor for added defence since you will be spamming skills.
  • Rune of Minor Spawning Power, Rune of Superior Restoration Magic.
  • Best possible Vigor Rune.
  • The other two runes are optional; you may prefer extra energy withRunes of Attunement but a Rune of Recovery is also helpful to ward of daze.
  • Bazzr's Staff and Spiritgarden's Repose work well, as well as any staff with similar mods.

[edit] Useage

This build works as a support healer/protector by using unremovable Weapon Spells and can cover almost all the responsiblities that a monk can carry.

  • When a battle commences, begin by casting Wielder's Zeal and then Wielder's Remedy. Wielder's Zeal will serve as your energy management while Wielder's Remedey removes conditions from your allies while serving as a cover enchantment.
  • Vengeful Weapon should be used as your main heal, as it is spammable and has a net cost of 1 energy while using Wielder's Zeal.
  • Use Weapon of Shadow on the team's tank or any member that is being heavily attacked by enemies.
  • Weapon of Warding is also useful when used on a tank or someone under heavy fire and has the added benefit of a much quicker recharge time.
  • Wielder's Boon is your major heal. Bear in mind that it is not a Weapon Spell, so Wielder's Zeal will not help with this spell. However, when used on a party member who has a weapon spell, it bolsters a huge spike heal, similar to Word of Healing; therefore it is best used on party members with low health as oppsed to your "spam" heal, Vengeful Weapon.
  • Of course, use Flesh of My Flesh to ressurect fallen party members.

[edit] Counters

Despite possibly lacking the out and out healing abilites of a Monk, this build is much more versatile, as most of your healing will be with Weapon Spells instead of enchantments. There are however a few counters to this build:

  • Foes that use a lot of Hex Spells. This build lacks proper hex removal, and as such, is very suseptible to hexes.
  • General "anti-caster" spells: various Mesmer spells such as Backfire can be devastating to you since you spam spells.
  • Another counter to this Ritualist itself are enchantment removals. These will strip you of either your condition removal or your energy managment source.

[edit] Variants

Consider going Rt/Mo for hex removal such as Remove Hex or Holy Veil. These skills do not require any further attrbute points spent.
