This is a ranger build that relies on health degeneration and conditions to quickly eliminate enemies. The build can be used in both PvE and PvP.

[edit] Equipment
- Full Druid's Armor with Archer's Mask and Major or Superior Vigor Runes
- Poisonous Longbow/Flatbow
[edit] Usage
- Open with Pin Down and follow with Hunter's Shot (if your energy is low for one reason or another either skill alone will do).
- Cast Virulence to add degeneration to your target and follow with Power Shot.
- By now your foe should be below or almost below half health at which point you can start spamming Needling Shot.
- If your target is still alive repeat the cycle.
[edit] Counters
- This build may be countered with complete purge skills. Shutdown and knockdown builds can also counter this build.
- Blind
[edit] Variants
- You can replace Power Shot with Concussion Shot to add an additional condition (dazed), because the degeneration should lower your opponents health below fifty percent without the use of Power Shot.
- You can also replace Power Shot with a more effective bow attack, such as Penetrating Attack, or a damage preparation such as Read the Wind, which will increase the effectiveness of ALL your bow attacks, Needling Shot in particular.
- In RA/TA, replace Power Shot with Resurrection Signet.
[edit] Notes
Virulence is a spell and is therefore not effected by Expertise. However, the lowered costs of your remaining skills should allow you to use Virulence (which requires 5 energy) so long as you manage energy wisely.
Disease is one of 3 effects of Virulence and so it is advisable to stay away from your foe if you cast Virulence. With Pin Down you probably have some breathing room so it should not be a major concern.
A Shortbow can be used to increase attack speed but increases the risk of catching disease.
