  • The spell can only be cast on the caster himself and not his allies, unlike Spell Breaker.
  • Enemies trying to cast spells on a character protected by this spell will simply be unable to begin casting their spells, but will not lose the energy cost of their spells. This is another difference with Spell Breaker which causes the enemy to lose the cost of the spell and then fail it as well.
  • Be aware that AoE spells that do not require a target, such as Inferno or Aftershock, can still be used to damage a character protected by this spell.
  • The only ways to remove Obsidian Flesh are non-spell skills that remove enchantments or spells that remove enchantments which do not need to target the character enchanted with Obsidian Flesh.
  • With a +17% or superior enchanting modifier and the ranger skill Serpent's Quickness at 11 Wilderness Survival, Obsidian Flesh at 16 Earth Magic can be maintained constantly.
