This Paragon is built primarily for AB (Alliance Battles). Equipped with three potent all ally effecting shouts (meaning it will effect friendly AB allies outside of your immediate team), this Paragon can be a huge boon during both capping and giant mob confrontations.

[edit] Equipment

  • Armor: Two minor attribute runes, one major attribute rune. One superior rune of vigor. One +2 energy rune. One rune of clarity to reduce blindness and weakness on you.
  • Silencing PvP Spear of Fortitude to increase daze length with a PvP Shield of Fortitude (+30 HP), with your mods of choice.

[edit] Usage

  • Single team capping tactics: Your ideal single team will be individuals who can use 'attack skills' that trigger your Anthem of Flame, meaning Assassins, Warriors, Rangers, Paragons, and Dervishes. Use "Fall Back" as often as possible to move your party toward capping. Use Anthem of Flame to increase damage for your team as a whole, paying attention to who is using attack skills so you can time them to ultimately increase burning duration. Use "Never Surrender" and "Stand Your Ground" to keep your friends alive. You should have enough energy, and enough energy gain, to keep spamming these shouts as often as they come up (where useful), however your energy gain is proportional to the people they land on, so keep this in mind. Use Barbed Spear to spread degen while building up adrenal for a Stunning Strike against enemy spell casters where interruption is important.
  • Mob Confrontations: This is where you really shine. If you see a huge mob confrontation taking up anywhere between 8-12 people from each team, it'll be your choice to get involved, but if you do you will find your shouts affecting everyone in the battle. You most likely want to spam all your shouts as often as possible, because you most likely aren't totally aware of the life amount of all the friendlies around you.

[edit] Counters

  • Necromancer anti-Paragon hexes will cause you problems, such as Well of Silence and Vocal Minority.
  • Anti-Attacking spells or blindness will inhibit adrenal gain for stunning strike.

[edit] Variants

  • You may try replacing Spear of Lightning and Stunning Strike with Blazing Spear and Soldier's Fury for an even more energy efficient, higher damaging build, at the cost of losing Stunning Strike. If you choose to do this, remove the Silencing mod from your Spear and put on a Furious mod to increase adrenal gain, zealous is also very useful if you find yourself low on energy with the increased attack speed.
  • If you require "Can't Touch This!" you may want to remove "Never Surrender!"
  • You can remove Barbed Spear with Wild Throw to end stances. You can still trigger Stunning Strike from the Anthem of Flame burning.

[edit] Notes

Due to the latest nerf of "Never Surrender!" it no longer affects all allies, only those within your party. If you wish, you may attempt to replace "Never Surrender!" with "Never Give up!" which will still affect everyone within earshout. "They're on Fire!" also will affect all allies within earshot, used in tandeum with Anthem of Flame.
