Thats right, an Assassin that can effectively tank. This build was originally created to farm physical damage bosses, but it also works very effectively throughout the PvE campaigns and even in some PvP areas. It uses critical defenses to keep up a constant hamper on all physical damage, while maintaining constant energy and health. Just as with any other tank, it is wise (also not entirely necessary against full physical damage enemies) to travel with a monk. With the recent updates, skills such as Critical Defenses, Critical Strike, and Death Blossom can show their true power in this build.
[edit] Attributes and Skills

Attribute Rank |
---|---|
Critical Strikes | 10 + 1 + 3 |
Dagger Mastery | 12 + 1 |
Healing Prayers | 8 |
- For PvE use a healing skill such as Restful Breeze or Healing Breeze.
- For PvP use a resurrection skill.
- See below for a Farming variants and a Shadow Arts variant.
[edit] Equipment
- Armor
- Head: Critical Strikes mask with Nightstalker's Insignia and Major Critical Strikes rune.
- Body: Nightstalker's Insignia and Superior(or best you have) Vigor rune.
- Hands: Nightstalker's Insignia and Minor Dagger Mastery rune.
- Legs: Nightstalker's Insignia and Attunement rune.
- Feet: Radiant Insignia Attunement rune.
- Weapons
- One pair of Zealous/Fortitude daggers and one pair of Vampiric/Fortitude Daggers.
- It is a good idea to carry one more set when you need energy and health regeneration as well.
- This should give you around 485 health, 30 energy, and loads of armor while attacking.
[edit] Usage
- Before every battle cast and maintain Vigorous Spirit.
- If being hit by physical damage(melee or ranger attacks) use and maintain Critical Defenses.
- Look for a target that has near full health. (above 90%)
- When you find a target start off your combo with Unsuspecting Strike and Wild Strike for a large damage spike and stance removal.
- When the target is surrounded by other enemies, use Death Blossom followed by Moebius Strike.
- When the target is alone, or when you need energy, use Critical Strike followed by Moebius Strike.
- If your health gets low, retreat and cast the healing spell if you brought one. I prefer Restful Breeze for this.
[edit] Counters
Normal melee counters: Blind, Empathy, Spiteful Spirit, etc.
[edit] Variants
Farming Variant
- This build functions the same way as before, but now you can take points out of Healing Prayers and add them into Shadow Arts. This allows for a different heal, as well as a speed buff to get to bosses quicker. This build is ideal for farming Chkkr Locust Lord as well as many other physical damage bosses.
[edit] Notes
If you are low on energy, try to find an enemy that no one else is attacking so that you can use critical strike to replenish energy quickly.
