The Critical Strikes attribute reflects an Assassin's skill with critical hitting and energy gain. This is a primary attribute and may not be used by secondary assassins.

The chance for critical hits increases 1% for each attribute point spent in Critical Strikes. For each critical hit, the Assassin receives 1 energy at rank 3 and above, 2 energy at rank 8 and above, and 3 energy at rank 13 and above.

Critical Strikes is an important attribute to an Assassin, both offensively and defensively. Several Assassin skills only act when a critical strike is struck, such as Way of Perfection. Critical Strikes allow an Assassin to strike down an enemy caster quickly, so that a swift return to safety is possible.

It is not possible for players to get more than 19 ranks of the Critical Strikes attribute, however some monsters may have higher values.

Critical Strikes will enhance these listed skills. Many Critical Strikes skills relate to critical hits in some way. The Critical Strikes attribute includes Enchantments, basic Skills, Lead, Off-Hand and Dual attacks, a single Hex, a single Stance and a single Melee Attack. Critical Strikes skills include Condition removal, Enchantment removal, Energy management, offensive support skills, defensive skills and skills to inflict Bleeding and Deep Wound.
