This build is not favored by the
GuildWiki community.
The general consensus among users of GuildWiki is that this
build is not viable.
This build was voted unfavored for the following reasons:
- No area damage makes farming very slow.
- Poor skill synergy.
|
A Spirit-assin uses its skill list much like a
Spirit-Bonder Monk would, its skills are very similar to the
monk solo build. But, it is different in that it doesn’t have any
AoE and uses most of its energy on its heals and buffs.
[edit] Attributes and Skills
- In place of the optional skill, you may use basically anything.
Another self heal aside from Reversal of Fortune is very helpful,
but likewise another damage dealer would help a bit. Just remember,
your energy isn’t always going to be maxed out like most other
farming builds, so choose your skills carefully.
- As suggested by a user who tested the build, try using Critical
Eye in place of the optional slot.
[edit] Equipment
- Use the Shing Jea Monastery Shrouded Set. The lowest armor
level possible is needed for this build to be at all
effective.
- A set of zealous daggers of enchanting, max damage. A +5 energy
mod is exceptionally helpful, but any damage mod is fine, you may
want to customize your weapon for extra normal damage as that will
be your basic damaging.
- The Spirit-assin build is used purely to farm the 6 Jade
Brotherhood Knights outside of the Marketplace in Factions. I have
not tested anywhere else, as those are hard enough. This build is
not as easy to use as most other solo classes, as you are
constantly casting spells with minimal damage.
- Start off by casting Balthazar’s Spirit, wait until you’ve
regenerated your energy before you do anything. Once you’re full on
energy, run out and aggro the first three Jade Brotherhood Knights,
cast Spirit Bond and Critical Defenses before they start attacking.
Next, use Golden Lotus Strike on any of them, but make sure to keep
targeted on that one enemy otherwise killing all three will be very
slow (use Golden Lotus Strike whenever it’s available or whenever
you can). Keep Spirit Bond and Critical Defenses up as long as you
can, using Reversal of Fortune when you need it and spam it when
Critical Defenses runs out, just to keep yourself going. If you
drop down too much in health, use Desperate Strike in order to deal
massive damage to your target, then use Reversal of Fortune to heal
yourself again, that way Desperate Strike is also put to use. Keep
this up until all three of the attacking Jade Brotherhood Knights
are dead. Now go after the second group of Knights and repeat the
process. For some reason, though, you may find yourself dying at
the second group, this cannot be explained. Even if you have
maximum health, energy, and new buffs, sometimes they manage to
kill you anyways. But don’t worry about it, if you die, simply
recast Balthazar’s Spirit and charge the group again, this time
spamming Protective Spirit and Spirit Bond, along with your other
enchantments. Upon destroying all your targets, if you haven’t
already, collect your loot and redo it all. I’ve gotten several
wonderful rares from these knights by doing this.
[edit] Counters
- Any other class aside from non-interrupting warriors and
assassins. Necromancers and Mesmers each have a shatter enchantment
move, rangers can prevent you from using certain necessary skills,
Ritualists and Monks are each just a pain to kill, and
Elementalists often deal too much damage.
[edit] Variants
- Try switching around your damage dealers, not Golden Lotus
Strike, to maximize your damage output.
