Contents

This build uses Ebon Dust Aura to cause continuous blinding and counter most melee characters. It currently has Vital Boon and Signet of Pious Light for direct healing, however some sort of condition removal or speed buffer may manifest those spots. The skill chain is also a work in progress.

[edit] Equipment

  • Use the Radiant Insignia for the Head, Body, and Gloves.
  • The Legs and Boots should be outfitted with the Survivor Insignia.
  • Try to balance out your health bonuses and energy to about 550 health and 34 energy.
  • Use Ebon (must be Ebon to activate the blinding effect of Ebon Dust Aura) PvP Daggers of Fortitude with the 15^50 health inscription.

[edit] Usage

First find a suitable target, melee preferably and cast Ebon Dust Aura followed up by Siphon Speed. After applying Siphon Speed to your target (watch for Hex removal on the target)use Black Spider Strike then Death Blossom. Quickly follow with Golden Phoenix Strike and Death Blossom, then finish him with Black Lotus Strike and another Death Blossom If the target starts to kite use Siphon Speed to catch up.

[edit] Counters

  • Stances or any other skills/spell that cause you to miss. For example, Gladiator's Defense, Sliver Armor or Blinding Surge.
  • Major health degeneration since the build does not having the healing capabilities to overcome it.
  • Conditions such as Blind and Hexes such as Spiteful Spirit that may cause your chain to miss.
  • Anything else that interrupts your chain.
  • With the current setup this build has no Hex or Condition removal.

[edit] Variants

  • Signet of Pious Light and/or Vital Boon can be swapped out for something like Feigned Neutrality for extra protection while kiting, or a speed buffer like Dark Escape.
  • Signet of Pious Light and/or Vital Boon can be switched for condition or hex removal.
  • Siphon Speed can be switched for another Hex.
  • Death Blossom can be replaced with Critical Strike for better energy but a weaker combo.

[edit] Notes

The generally purpose of this build is counter melee characters, by rendering them nearly useless with continuous blinding. However, it can also be effective against Rangers and Paragons. It is recommended that you avoid spell casters, since the elite the build is based around has little effect on them.
