This build is not favored by the
GuildWiki community.
The general consensus among users of GuildWiki is that this
build is not viable.
This build was voted unfavored for the following reasons:
- No IAS, Poor skill choice
|
The Adrenaline Slasher inflicts damage to opponents using 3
heavy sword
attacks with high adrenaline requirement, supported by the bleeding caused by Sever Artery. To
power these attacks, the Adrenaline Slasher uses adrenaline
boosters for a large increase in the rate of adrenaline gain.
[edit] Attributes and Skills
[edit] Equipment
- Any armor works, although Gladiator’s Armor is least best since
the build has a low energy requirement
- Sskai’s
Sword (for the 10% chance of double adrenalin) and any decent
shield
- Right before you attack an enemy or enemy group, you fire “For Great Justice!”, followed
by “To The Limit!” at the moment you
are adjacent to your
target (If you already have your adrenaline skills recharged or
almost recharged, you skip the “To The Limit!”). You use basic
sword attacks and Sever Artery (if your target is not bleeding)
until the Galrath Slash and Silverwing
Slash are recharged. If the group you attack is large enough,
“To The Limit!” will charge these 2 slashes immediately.
- After you used the Galrath and Silverwing Slashes, the Dragon Slash is
charged as well. The adrenaline boost caused by the Dragon Slash in
combination with “For Great Justice!” causes you to get enough
adrenaline to have the Galrath and Silverwing Slashes instantly
recharged again, as well as 8 of the 10 shots of adrenaline needed
for Dragon Slash. As long as you have “For Great Justice!” on you,
you can spam Galrath Slash, Silverwing Slash and Dragon Slash
non-stop this way.
- Re-use “For Great Justice!” as soon as it recharges. “To The
Limit!” can be used whenever neither of the 3 Slashes (Galrath,
Silverwing and Dragon) are charged. This adrenaline boost may
partially or fully recharge one or more slashes. Sever Artery is a
good attack to use when the 3 Slashes are not fully charged yet.
The bleeding lasts long and it has a low adrenaline requirement.
Use the Healing Signet when you are out of combat, or
when you suffer from blindness.
[edit] Counters
- The Adrenaline Slasher has no answer for skills that cause your
target to “block” or “evade” melee attacks or skills that make you “miss” with attacks through a hex or through blindness. When the
Dragon Slash fails to hit due to any of these causes, you miss the
large adrenaline boost needed to power up the Galrath and
Silverwing Slashes.
- Mesmers who use
adrenalin drain skills such as Soothing Images and Sympathetic
Visage are very effective against Adrenaline Slashers, since
Adrenaline Slashers are pretty much disabled without
adrenaline
[edit] Variants
The Resurrection Signet is not vital to this
build, so some other skills can serve in its place. Examples are Sprint (useful for AB) and Plague Touch (very useful to counter
blindness if your secondary is Necromancer).
