This build is not favored by the
GuildWiki community.
The general consensus among users of GuildWiki is that this
build is not viable.
This build was voted unfavored for the following reasons:
- enchantment removal makes the build useless
|
This build uses the armor and durability of a Warrior with the
power and speed of an Assassin. The build focuses on using Way of
the Empty Palm to negate the energy cost of the entire attack
combo, allowing for powerful attacks with efficient energy
management.
[edit] Attributes and Skills
[edit] Equipment
- Sentinel's Armor may be used to make up for
the lack of a shield, also to make this build more effective as
having the armor of a Warrior and the power of an Assassin. Gladiator's Armor is unnecessary. Stoneskin Gauntlets can be used to
increase the knockdown time of Horns of the Ox.
- Poisonous or Sundering Daggers of Fortitude, with an innate
+15% damage while enchanted is recommended.
- While using Tactics
runes and headgear might make Healing Signet more effective, adding more to
Strength will
increase armor penetration, as well as allow you to use Sentinel's
Armor.
- Like a predator, single out the weakest target, so that Horns of the
Ox will knockdown the target, and to make allies less
effective.
- Activate Way of the Empty Palm when you are in
range of your target. This will make the entire attack combo
completely free, so use the attack skills as you please for the
duration. Use the combo in order from left to right.
- High damage, knockdown, poison, and a powerful finishing move
give this build a high damage output. Strike hard and fast. Use Wild Blow to break
stances. Without the need for adrenaline, Wild Blow can be used effectively.
- If you cannot use Way of the Empty Palm, don't panic.
Simply continue to put pressure on your opponent until it
recharges.
- Use Healing Signet when low on health.
- This build can succeed in either the Random Arenas or
the Team
Arenas. In RA, you can catch enemies off-guard with high
damage, while in TA, you can rely on having a monk to keep
conditions and hexes off you.
[edit] Counters
- As this build is merely an alternative approach to warriors, it
does not offer revolutionary ways to avoid common anti-warrior
tactics. Blind, Cripple, and Weakness will hurt this
build, as well as if the opposing team has good healing.
- Removing Way of the Empty Palm and keeping it
off will greatly hurt this build. However, this build has energy to
spare if it needs to use some of the attack skills without Way of
the Empty Palm. For example, if Golden
Phoenix Strike is successfully activated, and then Way is
removed, using the remaining combo or just Blades of Steel
shouldn't be too much of a problem, as all of the attacks use five
energy except for Golden Phoenix Strike, but use them
sparingly.
- If Wild Blow is
chosen, kiting might be a good counter, though Horns of the Ox
might prevent that. If Sprint is chosen, stances that block or evade attacks
will be effective.
[edit] Variants
- There is little room for other skills in this build, but Wild Blow could be
replaced with Sprint.
Healing Signet isn't crucial, but a good idea to have.
