optional

optional

  • The optional slot is used dependent on where you're playing. Use Flesh of my Flesh if you need to resurrect, or use Vengeful Weapon as a "cover" spell while you recast another Weapon Spell.
  • A skill such as "Watch Yourself!" adds to the already signifigant armor bonus you can gain with this build.

[edit] Equipment

  • Use a Restorer's Headwrap and a full set of Emissary's Armor, as you will almost always be under a weapon spell. This give you 75 armor.
  • Use a Zealous sword with some kind of 15% damage bonus, preferable while above 50% health. Kaolin Blade is a good choice.
  • Superior Restoration rune.
  • Best vigor rune available.
  • A low req. Tactics shield with a bonus to health, and damage reduction bonus.

[edit] Usage

  • If there are other Warriors, allow them to go in first, then go in close behind.
  • Turn on Weapon of Warding before the battle.
  • Without the warrior primary, you lose a lot of damage, so instead go for soft targets such as Elementalists and Mesmers.
  • If you become Hexed or Conditioned, immediately switch to Resilient Weapon as it offer more regeneration and +24 armor.
  • Use Generous Was Tsungrai for a good spike heal during combat, but be wary of the health sacrifice.

Since Weapon Spells are unstrippable buffs, they make for good combat bonuses. The relatively short casting time, along with the duration makes they very useful. Despite the Ritualist's inherent lower armor, it is easy to obtain 90 or more armor. While under Resilient Weapon, and meeting the requiement, you have a 99 base armor (60 from armor, 15 from armor, 24 from Resilient Weapon). Along with that, if you're using a shield and a armor bonus from a Sword Pommel of Defense, you gain a base of 120 armor while under the mentioned conditions, which rivals any warrior.

[edit] Counters

  • Disabling the weapon spells.
  • Massive amounts of degen.
  • The regular combat class things such as blind, Empathy and the like.
