This build uses the fact that paragons have an armor class comparable to warriors. Using your shouts to maintain mending refrain on allies and aggressive refrain on yourself you can take a little pressure off the monks while still dealing damage.

Attribute Rank |
---|---|
Swordsmanship | 11 |
Leadership | 9 + 1 + 2 |
Command | 8 + 1 |
Motivation | 8 |
In most cases you might want a resurrect skill here. In cases where you're working with a group that you expect to live with, I recommend adding blazing finale for more damage pressure or signet of synergy for more healing assitance.
[edit] Equipment
- Armor: Either get the command headgear and a minor rune of leadership or a leadership headger with a major rune of leadership and minor command rune. It is recommended to keep leadership at an even number 10 or greater to take advantage of the +5 or +6 energy gained from group shouts.
- Weapon: Any one handed melee weapon depending on chosen skills
- Shield: I recommend the most damage reduction you can get
[edit] Usage
Begin by casting mending refrain on yourself and all allies before engaging the fight. Follow that up with anthem of flame. with 4 allies in earshot + you gives an energy regain of 5, making anthem of flame free. Since it is free with your leadership, maintain anthem of flame while out of battle to keep mending refrain and aggressive refrain on. While in battle save your pure strike to hit blocking enemies and apply burning at the same time. Whenever "Go for the Eyes!" is up use it to assist with mending refrain and aggressive refrain, also this adds pressure to the damage. If your monks are running out of energy use a song of power. Your Leadership should help save some of this energy and not disable you much.
[edit] Counters
If somebody blocks Quivering Blade then you will be dazed, therefore have a BIG chance to become interrupted, if you do not want this then makesure he hasnt used any stances or enchantments such as; guardian or aegis
[edit] Variants
You can swap your melee attack skills for axe skills, be sure to keep it to a one handed weapon as paragons DO have good armor, they still need a good shield to make up for the lack of absorption runes.
