The Empathic Protector uses two lesser used skills: Empathic
Removal and Life Attunement, to create an ideal situation
for a healer with Dwayna's Kiss and Word of
Healing.
[edit] Attributes and Skills
[edit] Equipment
- Life
Attunement is precasted on all casters, since they do not need to do damage with
their weapons. This
boosts the heal of Healing Prayers, Divine Favor, and Protection
Prayers skills.
- Reversal of Fortune is for healing small
amounts and preventing damage about to happen.
- Guardian is for
when an ally is being hit with melee.
- Optional: Protective Spirit is used for preventing damage
spikes. Precast on a target that is taking damage from
non-lifestealing sources.
- Optional: Inspired Hex/Revealed Hex is used for hex removal and
gives a net energy gain.
- Empathic Removal is used for hex AND condition removal. You
don't need any condition removal or hex removal for yourself as
when you cast it on another person it removes one hex/condition off
you too. The brilliance of this skill is that it has the same
recharge as Contemplation of Purity. It allows
you to remove a total of 4 things: two hexes and two conditions. Consider it a
mix or hex remover and condition remover except that it removes one
of each off you and your target ally.
- Mantra of Inscriptions is used to
improve recharge on Blessed Signet.
- Blessed Signet is used to gain energy. Assuming you are in a
normal 8 person party, you will need to cast Life Attunement on
about 4-6 casters. This means Blessed Signet will be increasing
your energy by 12-18 energy when you use it.
- Rebirth is used as
an emergency res.
[edit] Counters
[edit] Variants
- Spirit Bond
instead of Protective Spirit which works in a similar fashion to
Reversal of Fortune but it doesn't end once person is hit.
- Shield
Guardian instead of Protective Spirit which works in a similar
fashion to Reversal of Fortune but heals everyone around the
ally.
- This is an attempt to make use of a few lesser used skills. It
is not the most efficient healing build but excels at hex and
condition removal.
- Be careful as this build can easily have energy management
issues.
