This build is not favored by the
GuildWiki community.
The general consensus among users of GuildWiki is that this
build is not viable.
This build was voted unfavored for the following reasons:
- No defense at all.
- No self-healing.
- Bad trigger on HotO.

This build is a pure Assassin build. It uses one main combo,
repeatable through the early recharge of Golden Phoenix Strike, and
can be sustained through Repeating Strike (though the user should
be sure to not let it's use allow skills to be recharged, as that
would nullify Blades of Steel). One advantage of this build is it
doesn't actually require Critical Strikes, though it is immensely
beneficial for it's inherent value.
[edit] Attributes and Skills
[edit] Equipment
- A Zealous Dagger
Tang.
- Recommend to take a Vigor rune.
- Recommend to take a Dagger Handle of Fortitude.
- Preferably energy-boosting armor.
- Use to really take a foe to pieces. Jump into battle with Aura
of Displacement.
- Start your assault with Golden Phoenix Strike.
- Ground enemies with Horns of the Ox.
- Quickly use Falling Spider. Watch as your foe is drained
of his life.
- Speed your enemies demise by using Repeating
Strike.
- Before any of your skills recharge, finalise your assault with
Blades of
Steel.
- Jump out of battle by cancelling Aura of Displacement,
or...
- Stay and slay. Golden Phoenix Strike will be recharged by now,
so continue the assault.
[edit] Counters
- Leaves no room for diversification.
- Lacks any healing mechanism.
- Once blinded, pretty much useless.
[edit] Variations
- Replace Aura of Displacement with Moebius Strike;
replace Dash & Golden
Phoenix Strike with Mark of Instability and Black Lotus
Strike. Unfortunately, this has many problems.
- Replace Aura of Displacement with Way of
the Empty Palm. Wreak havoc from Golden Phoenix Strike to
Blades of Steel, but don't suffer the energy-consequences.
- Replace Aura of Displacement with Assassin's
Promise; and Dash with Mark of Instability. Although, if
enough attribute points are put into Deadly Arts (perhaps to, say 5
or 6), Mark of Instability would not be needed, although this
technique would be senseless against a full-health foe.
- Switch Dash. While it is useful, it's slot could be used for a
much needed healing skill, such as Shadow Refuge, Dark Escape, an
alternate healing skill, or just another attack.
