Why not change Death Blossom to Twisting Fangs? Added bleeding duration.
The optional spot can be filled with:
- A resurrection skill/signet
- A speed enhancing skill such as Dash, Dark Escape, or Sprint.
- A health-gaining skill that triggers on attack like Live Vicariously or Vigorous Spirit.
[edit] Equipment
- It is recommended that you either have Valkyrie's Armor, because of the decreased healing ability of this build, or Shrouded Armor for more energy head-room for your combos.
- Any weapon works for this build, but the best choices are Sundering, Vampiric, or Zealous daggers of Fortitude.
[edit] Usage
First, cast Seeping Wound on the target to prepare them for degeneration. Then, use Jagged Strike and Fox Fangs on the target. At this point, the target will be experiencing -7 life degeneration while taking a decent amount of damage. Next, use:
- Horns of the Ox if the target is alone, followed quickly by Falling Spider. At this point, the target will be experiencing -10 health degeneration. After Falling Spider, follow up with Death Blossom, which should finish off the target.
- Death Blossom if the target is grouped, which should provide some AoE damage to separate your target from the group.
Use Shadow Refuge as needed.
[edit] Counters
- This build is designed for quick high-output damage combined with life degeneration. Shadow Refuge at such a low attribute level is provided merely for comfort. As such, large amounts of targeted damage, stacked hexes, or conditions directed towards this character are sufficient to kill it.
- Boon prot monks using skills like Guardian, which can disrupt your combo, or spamming condition removal skills such as Mend Condition and Mend Ailment, which will prevent large life degeneration.
[edit] Variants
- If you find yourself engaging targets quickly one after another, or a particular target doesn't seem to fall after one round of attacks, swap out Seeping Wound for Moebius Strike. After the set of attacks is complete, and with the -7 degeneration from bleeding and poison, your target should always have less than 50% health, which will open up Moebius Strike to recharge your attack combo.
- Also, if you wish, you can swap out the first two skills for Black Mantis Thrust and Jungle Strike, which will cause crippling because of Seeping Wound and activate the damage bonus on Jungle Strike.
- You may also wish to swap Twisting Fangs for Death Blossom, as it does more damage to your target and can be used to leave a nice dent in your enemy's health in case you can't get Horns of the Ox off.
Note: Do not use both of these variants at the same time, as you will have no hex to inflict on targets to trigger the crippled condition of Black Mantis Thrust.
