Awesome to see a Hero builds section here... Thinking up builds for my Heros on my own is nearly impossible, as I love building rogue combo builds, and my Heros love ignoring key skills. :( Looking foward to seeing what some people can come up with (I'll have a build or two up for testing soon enough, myself). This page would be great, if it had any builds in it. I read the discussion on whether to have hero builds at all on the Builds main page, but I'd be surprised people if the majority of people don't want them. There are so many quirks and restrictions because of the hero AI that it's less than ideal to use one of the normal builds on the wiki. If the usage of the build involves doing things in a certain order or in certain situations, or maintaining enchantments, or not spamming things to death, etc.. which almost all builds do, then it's not very useful build for a hero.

I would love to see simple, proven hero builds I can set once and then leave alone, without having to constantly micro-manage their use of skills. The wiki page for Hero talks about many of these issues, but each skill has it's own weird AI, and each build involves many skills working together, so those suggestions still leave you with lots of trial and error. It would be nice at least to see basic builds for each class, to cover many of the standard roles a team needs. Hopefully the build gurus that live here won't mind some extra space being used on the wiki for stuff like this? Catbus 21:50, 14 February 2007 (CST)

I would think there are a lot of generic skills and ideas that would be sub-par at best on a normal build, but could really shine when used with a Hero. The major problem here is the voting... a lot of people here can spot a bad build a mile away, and unfortunately, most builds that Heros can use well would fall into the "bad" catagory. I think it's just a bit more important to think votes through on Hero builds... it needs to be more of a community effort too, I think. Maybe we can get more feedback on what players actually use for their heros, then with that data, it's easier to make a truely good hero build of it? I hope for this catagory to have at least one build for each profession here... I like to use all my heros, normally, not just some generic Olias (MM) Dunkoro (Monk) Koss (tank) setup. {Jioruji Derako} 22:34, 14 February 2007 (CST)
