  • Superior Vigor, Superior Absorption, Superior Swordsmanship, Minor Strength runes
  • Dreadnought's armor (Wyvern, Dragon, Platemail armor)

[edit] Usage

Cast Mending before battle, and remember to re-cast if stripped. It gives constant Health regeneration, as well as helping counter any Poison or Bleeding based traps or condition spamming Rangers.

If using "I Will Avenge You!", use that before battle to quickly charge up Battle Rage, providing there are dead allies in the battle already. Activate Battle Rage as soon as it is charged up. It takes two hits to charge up Sever Artery, and just follow through with Gash and Galrath Slash. Use Final Thrust when your opponent is below 50% Health, which they should be if they've been hit with the first three attacks and have not received substantial healing. When facing enemies with strong condition removal, Gash can often be followed immediately by another Sever Artery, covering the Deep Wound.

Use Wild Blow to remove stances such as Lightning Reflexes, Sprint, Bonetti's Defense, etc...

[edit] Notes

Note that the use of any non-attack skills listed in the Variants will end Battle Rage.
