This build is not favored by the
GuildWiki community.
The general consensus among users of GuildWiki is that this
build is not viable.
|
|
This is an alternatation of the classic Fissure Spider farming build. The skill physical resistance is replaced by other warrior stances, Dolyak Signet and enchantments are added to ensure an easier farming experience. Using this build will ensure a much more viable way of farming the Spider Cave.

[edit] Usage
[edit] Welcome To FoW
When you arrive in the Fissure of Woe immediatly hug the wall behind the NPC, wait for the group of enemies to spread out a little, watch where the two Shadow Elementalists go because you will have to run past them to avoid a very large group of enemies. As soon as the two shadow elementalists stop moving activate sprint and run towards them eventually past them and straight towards a small hill that leads to many mobs. On the right of the hill there will be a small piece of land jutting out from the hill. Go onto it and wait for a large group of mobs to come towards then split into two goups; one will go up the hill the other will go right towards you. Wait for the group taking the hill to pass you and immediatly run forwards and turn so as to run back to your inital position use Sprint if it has recharged hug the wall and you should come to a pass through the mountains run through it and you will have reached the shore
[edit] The Shore
As yyou approach the shore you should see a group of three Snarling Driftwoods running towards you, behind them there will be a Doubter's Dryder walking up and down, get as clsoe to the dryder as possible without aggroeing it (give yourself some space to manoeuvre) and activate Dolyak Signet. For this first fight you will not use the enchantments because of your limited time. Activate Dolyak Signet whenever it is available, use Cyclone Axe to build up adrenaline (the driftwoods will surround you allowing you to use AoE attacks) and use Executioner's Strike for damage. Heal when neccessary, if your health starts to get too low use Shield Stance with Dolyak Signet to allow you to heal without taking damage. After you dispose of the driftwoods lure the Doubter's Dryder with your bow staying as close to its original location as possible wihtout aggroeing the Ancient Skales. When it casts Wastrel's Worry on you use any skill to cancel its effect. You should make short work of this weak mesmer.
Now take your time to look at your surroundings. It is important to never aggro an Ancient Skale. Cast Mending and wait for your energy to get back to maximum before casting live vicariously then lure the Snarling Driftwood that should be walking towards the area in front of you with your bow and engage them using the same tactics you used for the first fight, this time however you will not have energy regen so you will use Bonetti's Defense to build up energy. After you kill them wait for the scales to join together as a group near the wall farthest from you and use Charge to run past hugging the wall on your right. Stop shortly before a small group of ancient scales. Try to find a spot where you will aggro nothing unless you want to. Here You should be able to kill 3 Dryders and 6 Driftwoods. Lure as necessary remember to not aggro a Dryder and a group of driftwoods together because the dryder will destroy your enchantments. Only use your enchantments when you are going to fight Driftwoods or Armored Cave Spiders. When you fight dryders take away any enchantments on you. After you clear that area run past the scales and towards the next area. Try to kill all Dryders and Driftwoods there just like before. Carefully so you don't aggro scales.
[edit] The Spider Cave
After you clear out the last area run forwards until you reach a cave with three dryder guarding the entrance, lure two away with your bow and fight them far from ther intial postion. After you kill them stand briefly on their inital location and run back towards the area you just cleared. Wait for the Armored Cave Spiders to spread out then begin to lure them in groups of 3 or 4 so that you can fight them. Here you will always use enchantments so keep them on. Try not to stray into the last remaining dryder in front of the cave. After you kill all or most of the spiders disenchant yourself and kill the lsat dryder. Kill anymroe spiders and proceed into the cave luring every dryder and killing it before activating enchantments to fight the Armored Cave Spiders that appear! Bring one obsidian key to open the chest that always spawns at the end of the cave.
