Build:W/A Iron Asp
From GuildWiki

This build has been archived and is
not updated by the GuildWiki community.
This build is only maintained for historical reference and may contain incorrect or outdated information. Reason: Lack of speed buff, condition removal etc, introduction of new Signet of Malice/Mending Touch and elites "You're All Alone!" and Crippling Slash etc, Shadow Walk, nerf of "Victory is Mine!". |
|
A build designed to quickly apply multiple health degenerations while interrupting targets actions and bypassing some defensive abilities like Guardian.

[edit] Variants
- Replace Iron Palm with Dancing Daggers for addition damage and a ranged attack at the expense of a knockdown.
- Replace Siphon Speed with Sun and Moon Slash for additional damage.
- Replace Siphon Speed with Flurry or Frenzy for faster adrenaline generation.
- Replace Entangling Asp with Mantis Touch to cripple your opponent.
In alliance battles resurrection signet is not really useful. Replace Resurrection Signet with one of the skills listed above or:
- Replace with Healing Signet.
- Replace with Mantis Touch for an additional condition.
- Replace with "To the Limit!" for a faster adrenaline gain.
In alliance battles, "Victory is Mine!" is very useful, but Assassin's Promise even more so. Since you will be dealing with a lot more enemies than possibly in Team Arenas, it would be better to have your skills recharged after each foe that you kill.
[edit] Equipment
- Gladiator's hauberk and leggings
- a Duelist's Helm
- Stoneskin Gauntlets
- the following runes:
- Superior Vigor
- Superior Absorption
- Minor Swordsmanship
- Minor Tactics
- Minor Strength
- Furious sword to help quickly gain adrenaline.
[edit] Usage
Once your adrenal skills are charged begin with Sever Artery, followed Immediately with Iron Palm. Once the target is standing again, attack with Entangling Asp. Follow with Gash as soon as possible to cover degenerating conditions with Deep Wound. Trigger "Victory is Mine!" and if no conditions have been removed, you should gain 15 Energy.
If the target is under 50% health, finish them off with Final Thrust. Otherwise repeat the cycle above. If the target begins to flee use Siphon Speed to pursue them.
Because Iron Palm and Entangling Asp are not attack skills, both can strike through defensive stances such as Wary Stance.
You may in some cases find it useful to skip straight to the knockdown attacks. Iron Palm will trigger its knockdown effect against targets with conditions or hexes. If you cast Siphon Speed as your lead attack, you can then strike them with Iron Palm for a knockdown since they will now be hexed. Keep this in mind as well when engaging targets your allies have cast hexes on or you are pursuing with Siphon Speed.
[edit] Counters
- Heavy degeneration builds will eliminate this warrior, like most warriors.
- On hit or on attack hexes, such as Empathy or Spiteful Spirit
- Quick removal of conditions will reduce the benefits of "Victory is Mine!"
