The purpose of this build is to degenerate as much health from
your foes as possible, while using stealing spells to replenish
your own. Points in Soul Reaping will replenish your energy as well
when foes fall.
[edit] Attributes and Skills
[edit] Equipment
- Armor - Best armor with energy boost - Add Runes of Blood Magic
and Curses.
- Add more runes to make a 55 (note Death Magic runes are the
most popular and so very expensive)
- Weapons - Staff of Enchanting
- Cast Blood Renewal and Protective Spirit before attacking
foe(s).
- Cast Life Transfer on a foe (+7), and Life Siphon (+2) on more
foes to increase your health regeneration.
- Cast Malaise to prevent enemy from using spells, especially
those that remove hexes.
- Cast Insidious Parasite for a good health regeneration from
main attackers.
- Cast Vampiric Gaze for a quick attack and to boost your
health.
- Keep Life Transfer, Life Siphon(s) and Protective Spirit going
(make sure you have at least 15 energy before using Vampiric Gaze –
this will ensure you can recast PS quickly).
[edit] Counters
- Enemies with remove hex spells can cancel the degenerating
spells. Use Maraise to help prevent this.
- Hexes that affect you after the caster is dead. Use Blood
Renewal.
- Some hexes are strong enough to counter Life Transfer and Life
Siphon e.g. Conjure Nightmare. Use Blood Renewal in
Conjunction.
[edit] Variants
- To counter hexes which degenerate even after the caster is
dead, replace a skill such as Shadow of Fear with either Healing
Breeze or Orison of Healing.
- Optional: Shadow of Fear instead of Insidious Parasite. Cast on
enemies close together e.g. grouped Rangers/Casters or melee
enemies e.g. Warriors or Minions.
Updates to the weapons and armor are very welcome
