Image:Red thumbs down.png This build is not favored by the GuildWiki community.

The general consensus among users of GuildWiki is that this build is not viable.

This build was voted unfavored for the following reasons:

  • insufficient damage
  • poor energy management

This build uses Spiteful Spirit and other Hexes to severely punish enemies who try to attack, and if they don’t, hurt them anyway.

[edit] Equipment

  • A 20/20 Curses Staff
  • A Focus with +1 Curses 20% and +30 Health

[edit] Usage

  • Before any battle, cast Awaken the Blood. Since you have no sacrifices, there isn’t much of a downside.
  • Spiteful Spirit should be used as a “Base” Hex. Then, you can either cover it there and move to the next target, or add another hex if you think Spiteful Spirit will not kill them.
  • If they are a Ranger, Warrior or Assassin, use Reckless haste. This works VERY well with Spiteful Spirit.
  • If they are anything else, use Backfire.
  • To cover it, use Parasitic Bond. Also use it on an enemy who is about to die – it will be counted as “Ending” and you will receive the healing.
  • If an enemy susses you out and stops attacking, use Wastrel’s Worry. Most people will panic and use a skill without thinking of Spiteful Spirit.
  • If there’s a pack of enemies which just won’t seem to die try Desecrate Enchantments. This can also be used to finish off a dying enemy.

[edit] Counters

  • Good Hex removal
  • Nature's Renewal
  • Any sustained damage – This build has no healing.

[edit] Variants

Wastrel’s worry could be swapped for a Self-heal.

[edit] Notes

You can NOT cover with Wastrel’s worry. The hex removal will end it and remove the next hex.
