The Parasitic Shutdown is a powerful Necromancer build
designed to decrease the effectiveness of the opposing team.
[edit] Attributes and Skills
[edit] Equipment
- Begin by selecting a opposing melee'er and casting Faintheartedness, Price of
Failure, Life
Siphon, Malaise and
finally covering with Parasitic Bond. Your target will now be
suffering from 7 health degeneration, 2 energy degeneration
(negating all of a warriors energy regeneration) and a slowed
attack speed. Repeat the combo as necessary. Try to keep the hexes
on as many of the enemy's players as possible.
- Use Offering of Blood as energy management, and
Distortion as
defense agaisnt melee'ers.
- The combo (minus Price Of Failure) can be used on non-melee'ers
if required with some affect.
- Use Resurrection Signet to resurrect dead
team members.
[edit] Counters
- Strong hex removal can be annoying, but due to the quick
recharges of the skills, isn't effective.
- E-Denial.
- The standard caster counters (Backfire etc...).
[edit] Variants
- This build can be played effectively as a Me/N with 12 Blood Magic, 12 Curses and 7 Fast Casting
replacing Distortion with another skill.
- Distortion can be swapped out for another Curses skill, or
possibly Revealed
Hex/Inspired
Hex.
- This build was designed for Team Arena's.
This build isn't designed for damage, but to hinder the enemy's
melee'ers constantly and provide a decent amount of degeneration
for as long as required.
