The Leeching Necro is an anti-caster PvE build that utilizes life stealing skills from the Blood Magic line, both
to punish enemy casters and to maintain a constant rate of Health
recovery. The damage dealt by this build is hard to counter, since
damage is dealt through Health Degeneration and Shadow Damage.
[edit] Attributes and Skills
[edit] Equipment
- A 20/20 Blood Magic requirement staff with Hale and of Fortitude upgrades or simply The Darkwish.
- Runes of Superior Blood Magic, Superior Vigor and Minor Soul
Reaping.
- Depending on the circumstances, you will start off battles
differently.
- If facing Casters, then start off by casting Arcane Echo and Soul Leech on two
enemy casters.
- If facing only enemy Attackers, then Arcane Echo your Shadow Strike.
- Follow up with Dark
Pact and Life
Siphon, alternating both skills to maintain both damage and
health regeneration.
- Your two Inspiration Magic skills should be used
when you're in need of an immediate Energy boost.
[edit] Variants
- This build is more self-reliant than other party builds and
does not require dire need of a Monk or Ritualist for healing as
often.
- Casting Life
Siphon on multiple foes stack, and can counter almost any
amount of Health Degeneration, providing there are enough enemies
to cast Life Siphon on.
[edit] Counters
- Interrupts, especially ones that increase recycling time.
- Becoming Dazed.
- Spike damage, which this build has no counter against.
