The Bond-Powerhealer takes advantage of the spell Divine Boon to
strongly boost healing power, and brings some elements from a Bonder into a general
purpose monk build. Though lacking some elements of a traditional
monk, it provides strong protection and healing with good energy
management to mitigate the costs of Divine Boon and maintained
enchantments.
[edit] Attributes and Skills
[edit] Equipment
- A Hale Protection Staff of Fortitude will help mitigate the use
of 2 superior runes.
- The staff can be replaced by a Totem Axe and a Divine Symbol with +5 armor, +45hp
(while enchanted).
- A secondary weapon set with a wand/focus combo, both using the
+15/-1 mod.
- Armor of choice, preferably using Survivor or Radiant
Insignias.
- Cast Balthazar's Spirit and Divine Boon on yourself before
battle, and apply Life Bond to melee classes while keeping your
energy up with Blessed Signet and Boon Signet.
- When in battle, Balthazar's Spirit will provide energy as your
Bonded players take attack damage. This will help maintain your
energy levels, much like a standard Bonder. In almost all
circumstances, your damage from life bond should be 0.
- To maintain sufficient energy to cast your heals, use Blessed
Signet and Boon Signet whenever available. With these skills you
should have no trouble maintaining 6-10 enchantments, and still
healing when necessary.
- Reversal of Fortune provides a quick shot of healing, while
Dismiss Condition heals for more and removes a condition.
- In dire circumstances, cast Vital Blessing on a player taking
high damage. This will heal around 100, and temporarily give the
player +200 health. Once stabilized, you can remove the Vital
Blessing.
- If running low on energy while Blessed Signet recharges, switch
to your wand/focus combo to gain some more leway for your energy
degeneration. Remember to switch back once your energy reaches
around 40.
[edit] Counters
- This build is vulnerable to enchantment removal, due to the
high number of enchantments being maintained and used for
protection/healing.
- Energy denial is a serious concern for this build, as losing
energy will cause the monk to drop its bonds on others.
- Low health due to the runes required for the build makes it
extra vulnerable.
[edit] Variants
- For areas with powerful hex-casters, replace Boon Signet with
Blessed
Light.
- Rebirth is a good
choice to replace Vital Blessing if you expect to suffer many
casualties.
- Combined with a Ritualist using Binding Rituals and Restoration magic
heals, this build is great for a 2-person backline. The Ritualist
picks up the slack of smaller heals and hex/condition removal with
some protective spirits, while this build provides high protection
and powerful heals.
- This build with a PBAoE
Elementalist can make a formidable force in Alliance
Battles
