[edit] Usage

Before entering battle, place Greater Conflagration in a spot that will cover the battle area, but far enough away to make it hard for the other team to kill the spirit. When you come under fire, use Protective Spirit on yourself to absorb big spike damage. Activate Storm Chaser and let them hit you. For each hit, you will gain 4 energy, thus countering the enhanced energy demands on Divine Boon. As long as you keep Protective Spirit and Divine Boon up, you can always get rid of 2 hexes and 2 conditions with Contemplation of Purity. If you get hit hard, use Storm Chaser and Guardian to get to safety.

There is a 13-second gap between the uses of Storm Chaser, which must be covered without the additional energy gain.

[edit] Counters

  • Killing the spirit disables the energy gain of Storm Chaser from normal melee attacks.
  • Disabling Reversal of Fortune and Guardian leaves the character without proper self heals.
  • Using Wild Blow to cancel Storm Chaser will end the character's energy gain. Due to the long recharge of Storm Chaser, this could leave the Monk dangerously short on energy.
  • If the Monk is not the target of attacks while under the effects of Storm Chaser they will receive no energy gain.
