This build is only maintained for historical reference and may contain incorrect or outdated information. Reason: Obsolescence of Orders in general |
|
This build uses Fast Casting to shorten the preparation time for spike damage. Fast casting is used to speed up the disenchanting spells, and then quickly follow up with an Order of Pain to prevent telegraphing the spikes. This character is armed with a large number of disenchanting spells so he is always ready to prime spikes, energy permitting. This makes this build ideal for a ranger spike team in the Global Tournament.
For PvE, a primary class of Necromancer is preferable because of the higher Blood Magic ranks and the greater utility of the Soul Reaping attribute in this style of play.

[edit] Usage
This character will be the focus of enemy energy denial attacks. Therefore, good energy hiding techniques must be used. When a spike is called:
- Use a disenchanting spell. The order of preference is Rend Enchantments > Drain Enchantment > Strip Enchantment.
- Immediately cast Order of Pain.
- Consume corpses as they become available.
[edit] Variants
Vampiric Gaze is the flex slot. Possible replacements:
- Mantra of Resolve (push Inspiration Magic to rank 12)
- Rigor Mortis or Weaken Armor (use the stray points in Curses; even rank 2 is worth it)
- Blood Renewal
- Offering of Blood can be replaced by Mantra of Recovery if Energy appears to be managable.
