A spike/interrupt elementalist hybrid.
[edit] Attributes and Skills
[edit] Equipment
- Radiant Armor
- 20/20 Water wand and offhand
This build uses the interruption effect from Spinal Shivers
while dealing heavy cold damage. This is different from regular
interrupt builds because it does not interrupt “on command”. The
interruptions are unpredictable and therefore you can interrupt
spells and skills that are harder to “catch” otherwise like Reversal of Fortune.
- Precast your enchantments before battle.
- Cast Glyph of Lesser Energy then Spinal Shivers on
called target, preferably a caster.
- If you think the hex needs to be covered fast use Freezing Gust,
otherwise use Shatterstone, followed by Freezing Gust.
- Use Ice Spear
for more constant damage, and a chance to interrupt every
second.
- Renew enchantments as needed, same goes for Spinal Shivers
[edit] Counters
- Usual caster counters, Backfire, Diversion, energy denial.
- Excessive hex removal or hex counters like Hex Breaker and Holy Veil.
- You have no good self heal so excessive damage or degeneration
will kill you fast.
[edit] Variants
- Adding in Vapor
Blade for more damage. Beware though, Vapor Blade costs more,
has longer casting time and cannot act as a cover hex nor a
snare.
- Switching out Ice
Spear for another Water Magic attack or snare.
- Glyph of Restoration could replace Aura,
but then you won’t be able to use it as a cover enchantment.
Another player on your team with a cold weapon will greatly
increase the number of interrupts but also be heavy on your
energy!
