The general consensus among users of GuildWiki is that this build is not viable.

This build was voted unfavored for the following reasons:

  • No reason to be Assassin primary.
  • Less energy and Less Damage than Mesmer Primary.
  • Lack of Resurrection Signet, being an Arenas build.

Contents

An assassin build that relies on double-hitting and constant, armor ignoring damage through the Mesmer spell Illusionary Weaponry. Centered around PvP styles of gameplay.

- For PvE use, replace Dark Escape for "Resurrection Signet".
- Dark Escape can be replaced by "Return" depending on your style of play in PvP.

Armor: Shrouded is necessary for extra energy.

  • Nightstalkers may also work for the extra armor. However, with this it requires you have an Energy+5 Dagger Set.

Weapons: +5 Energy Daggers with 20% Longer Enchantments.

[edit] Usage on Casters

  1. Cast Illusion of Weakness BEFORE battle to allow your health to regenerate.
  2. Activate Illusionary Weaponry.
  3. Death's Charge and Attack.
  4. Renew IW if necessary and heal with Ether feast. If you run into energy problems, use Energy Tap.

[edit] Usage on Melee and Rangers

  1. Cast Illusion of Weakness BEFORE battle to allow your health to regenerate.
  2. Activate Spirit of Failure on the target about to attack you.
  3. Activate Illusionary Weaponry and Spam distortion.
  4. If needed, recast Spirit of Failure on multiple targets.
  5. Recast IW if needed. Heal with Ether Feast and if you run into energy problems (you shouldn't but just in case) use Energy Tap.
  6. Death's charge may be used as a quick heal of 82 points.

[edit] Counters

  • Enchantment Removal. You might not die, but it almost destroys your damage output.
  • Hex removal. If you are going against a physical attacker and spirit of failure is removed, you have energy problems
